Experience an intelligent way of living with AI Auto Cooling*. It automatically optimizes the various modes by analyzing the room conditions and usage patterns**. Based on your preferred temperature, it automatically switches to the most appropriate mode*** to maintain the optimal conditions.

Shows how the air conditioner optimizes its performance by learning the operating time, set temperature and indoor and outdoor temperatures. A chart shows how Fast Cooling quickly reduces the room temperature to the set level, before entering Dehumidification Mode and then WindFree™ Cooling to keep the room at the set temperature.

* A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required.** Stores user data, preferences and usage patterns to suggest the most useful options.*** When a Wi-Fi connection is not available, the preferred mode is based on the result of big data analysis.

Intelligent energy use savings

AI Energy Mode

AI analyzes your usage patterns and external conditions, and reduces the air conditioner’s energy use. It controls the compressor’s frequency, reducing energy consumption by up to 30%*. And AI Energy mode can save energy by switching devices to Energy Saving mode at a pre-set threshold.

* Based on internal testing on the AR07D9181HZ3 model. The compressor’s indicated frequency is reduced by 27% using the compressor’s lowest output control, which is reduced from the existing 15rps to 12rps (may differ by model). The testing was conducted in Samsung’s 132m² residential environment laboratory at a temperature of 35°C/24°C (dry bulb/wet bulb, KS C 9306: air conditioner). Requires the use of the SmartThings App and a Samsung account. Actual savings may vary by usage patterns and environment.

SmartThings

As the smartphone approaches the indoor unit, SmartThings recognizes the unit, and a pop-up window appears. The smartphone is then used to operate the indoor unit.

Quick Remote

Control the room temperature quickly and easily on a Galaxy smartphone*. When you get close to the air conditioner**, a Quick Remote pops up on your phone*** to let you control its priority features, like on/off and start/stop****. So don’t need to waste time finding the actual remote control.

Map View

Monitor and control all your air conditioners wherever you are. Using Map View in the SmartThings App*, you can see a 3D map of your home and smart devices. You can change settings, run preset routines and monitor the air quality, room temperature and energy consumption of your air conditioner.

SmartThings & Voice Control

Control the temperature effortlessly. Using the SmartThings App* you can remotely control and monitor it with just a touch. You can also control it with your voice using a voice assistant**, such as Samsung Bixby***, Amazon Alexa**** or Google Assistant*****. It even suggests the best settings.

Welcome Cooling & Away Care

Use your air conditioner efficiently and effectively when you arrive home or go out. SmartThings Welcome & Away Care* alerts when you get close to home** and reminds you to turn on the air conditioner. And when you leave** it will notify you if there is an air conditioner that is still working.

* Available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required.** The Welcome & Away Care (energy saving notification) function uses smartphone Geofencing and GPS to determine whether you are close to your personal set location, and its performance may vary depending on the actual usage environment and the cooling function of each model.

Smart Forward

Keep your air conditioner up-to-date with the latest technology and features, so it works just like the latest products. Smart Forward* automatically installs new software** in order to upgrade the operating system and security, enhance or add new functions and help improve the SmartThings App.

* The availability of Smart Forward upgrades may vary by product and region.** Software is downloaded “over the network”, so appliances must have a Wi-Fi connection to the Internet. New updates can be monitored on the SmartThings App and will only be implemented with the agreement of users.

Take care of your air conditioner easily. SmartThings Home Care* uses artificial intelligence (AI) to detect abnormal behavior, so that you can address maintenance needs without an on-site service**. AI diagnosis checks its status and displays information about any issues with major components.

AI Digital Inverter Control

Cool quickly, quietly and efficiently. Using AI it analyzes your usage patterns, indoor and outdoor conditions, and continuously senses the air conditioner’s operating status. It can then precisely control the compressor’s frequency* to maintain the preferred temperature and reduce energy use.

* A Wi-Fi connection is required. Only available when AI Auto Cooling mode is selected.

Efficiency

It highlights the ‘3x Stronger Neodymium Magnets’ and ‘Twin Rotary Comp’ inside the indoor unit. After the phrases '18% Wider inlet' and '31% Wider Blade' are displayed, the image changes to a strong wind blowing from the indoor unit. At the top, it says '43% faster cooling'.

Fast Cooling

Cool rooms rapidly. The twin compressor works stably at any speed, as its two cylinders rotate alternately. The BLDC motor’s Neodymium magnets are 3x stronger than normal, which generates powerful and rapid rotation. So it cools the air 43% faster* and disperses cool air farther and wider**.

* Based on internal testing on the AR12TXCAAWKEU model compared with the Samsung conventional AQ12EASER model, measuring the time taken to reduce the room temperature from 33°C to 25°C.** Based on internal testing on the AR24TXFCAWKNEU model.

The indoor unit is visible through the window from the outside where the outdoor unit is installed, and the upper graph shows that the 'AI digital inverter' has a smaller change from the set temperature compared to the 'non-inverter'.

Create a comfortable environment with an even temperature in every corner of a room. The 4-way Swing function lets you remotely control the air direction or automatically expels air in every direction. As well as the auto up-down swing function it also has an auto left-right swing function.

5-step Convertible Control

Save energy, but still stay cool. The 5-step Convertible Cooling* lets you adjust the compressor operation in 5 steps, from 40% to 120%, to suit your changing cooling needs, using the minimal amount of energy**. You can also use it to reduce your daily energy consumption whenever you want.
